Reproductive Dignity is for Everyone! – Rev. T. J. answers common questions about SACReD

Sundays, Oct 1-Nov 19
12:30pm – 2pm, Hallman 305

“Why would I want to learn about reproductive justice at church?”
“Why learn about reproductive justice if I’m not going to become pregnant?”
“Shouldn’t men stay out of conversations about reproductive justice?”

Watch the video above to hear Rev. T. J. answer some questions about SACReD, a very special course on reproductive justice.

This class is for adults of all ages and genders who want to strengthen their ability to engage in the struggle for reproductive justice. The SACReD course is a multi-disciplinary, intersectional approach to religion and reproductive justice, which invites participants into a better understanding of reproductive oppression and possibilities for action.

In this course you will explore your personal experience with reproductive rights, the social and historical factors behind restrictions, and the impact of those restrictions, especially on communities of color. You will also learn the basic tenets of reproductive justice and develop a strong faith-based foundation for your own actions on behalf of reproductive rights. Prepare to be challenged on one or more levels.

Childcare is available. All ages and genders are welcome. You are welcome to visit the first class to see what it’s all about.
