New Connect Group: Bodies, Belonging, & Books – starts November 1
1st and 3rd Sundays – starting with November 1 and November 15
12:30 – 2:00 pm
Hallman 304
Bodies, Belonging, and Books. Sound interesting? Join us to explore how the challenge of racial equity can be met. This group is part book club, part community, part work, to see how we can meet this challenge.
The group also will build something more: a community with its own culture – one where racial healing and racial justice feel less like obligations and more like a way of life. We’ll do real work together – policy advocacy and creating relationships with community groups led by People of Color. And we’ll make room for joy: shared meals, celebration, and field trips, sustaining the kind of belonging that supports the work over the long haul.
This group is open to all who want to engage in exploring how the challenge of racial equity can be met. Join us on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, 12:30 – 2:00 pm in Hallman 304. Stronger community is built with regular, consistent participation, but interested individuals are welcome to join anytime and participate as often as possible.
This group will be available to join in Realm soon or drop in on Sunday, November 1st for our first meeting. Childcare available with advance registration.
Steve Jensen and Jane Corley, facilitators.
