Congratulations to the Ned Fritz Scholarship 2024 Awardees
Congratulations to Jillian Stanton of First Unitarian Church of Dallas and Joseph Oliphant of Horizon Unitarian Universalist Church. Jillian will be attending Wellesley with a focus on Environmental Sciences and Joseph will be attending University of North Texas with a focus on Environmentally Responsible Construction.
The Ned Fritz Scholarship is awarded annually to graduating high school seniors active in a North Texas Unitarian congregation who plan to pursue a career focused on supporting nature and the environment. Genie Fritz and friends established the scholarship in the fall of 2012 to honor her late husband, Ned Fritz, who passed in 2008 at 92. The scholarship is coordinated by the Social Action Council of First Unitarian Church of Dallas. Applications are accepted from January through April each year.
