SEPTEMBER 2023 – MAY 2024

A year-long journey of discovering and activating our purpose as individuals so that together we can create positive change in the world as a spiritual community.

This sermon from Rev. Dr. Daniel Kanter kicks off the “Waves of Purpose, Tides of Change” theme year.

Watch to learn about the ideas and questions we’ll be exploring together this year including:

  • What does living with purpose really mean for a Unitarian Universalist?
  • What does grounding ourselves in rituals and activating our spiritual lives look like?
  • Where do we find resources to grow and guide our actions as UUs to make the world a better place?

SEPT 17 – OCT 1 – LIVING A PURPOSEFUL LIFE

Spiritual inner work to transform our personal lives.

How do we take our faith with us into the rest of our lives? What does it mean to be part of a wider community and what does it do for us as individuals? During the first sermon series of our theme year “Waves of Purpose, Tides of Change,” we will be exploring the spiritual inner work required to transform our personal lives.

OCT 8 – NOV 5 – RITUALS THAT GROUND US

Resources to sustain us on the journey.

How and why are rituals in our lives good for us? What do rituals look like for Unitarian Universalists? In this sermon series, we will be exploring the rituals and resources that sustain us and keep us grounded on our spiritual journey.

JAN 7 – FEB 4 – ACTIVATING YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE

The inner work in action.

Let’s begin 2024 by activating our spiritual lives as we put the inner work we’ve done together into action. We’ll reflect on our commitment to the vision and work of Beloved Community, the spiritual practice of saying no, the concept of joy as a profound spiritual gift, and more.

FEB 18 – MAR 24 – SACRED GEOGRAPHY

Locating sacred touchpoints in our inner world and the world around us.

We delve into the intricate map of the sacred, exploring its manifestations in the everyday spaces and experiences of our lives. Each week, we will illuminate a different facet of sacred geography and invite you to engage meaningfully with your own spiritual landscape.
