Sunday Giveback
Sunday Giveback has been proudly funding area not-for-profits since 2006. 100% of each first Sunday Giveback plate collection is given to a worthy nonprofit making a difference, as well as 50% of the month's remaining collections.
2026 Sunday Giveback Recipients will include:
Wholly Informed Sex Ed (WISE) brings comprehensive and inclusive, affirming and anti-racist sexuality education to community settings in Dallas and Truth Pregnancy Resource Center (TPRC) supports any and all pregnant Texans to do what they want with their pregnancies.
Dallas Area Interfaith (DAI) brings together diverse congregations, schools, nonprofits and unions so that ordinary people have a powerful voice in the decisions that affect their lives and communities. They foster public relationships and teach people how to become leaders, developing the courage and skills to fight effectively in the public arena.
Read Play Love provides educational experiences to empower children and create an inclusive culture of love. They offer enrichment opportunities in all the arts, including our unique approach to musical theatre classes and productions.
Texas UU Justice Ministry (TXUUJM) educates and organizes Texas UUs, congregations, and partners to advocate effectively for UU principles in public policy and the public square.
Want to nominate an organization for Sunday Giveback?
First Church sources nominations for nonprofits from our congregation, because so many of our members have firsthand knowledge of who is doing good for others in our community that could benefit from our church’s support.
NOMINATE AN ORGANIZATION:
Completed nomination forms will be accepted until April 15 for June – December 2026 recipients and October 15 for January – May 2027 recipients.
IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING APPLICATION PROCESS:
Please note that we have an updated application process as of May 2023. The Nomination Form + CEO Certification is now a fillable digital form rather than a PDF.
If you are not able to complete the entire form in one sitting, please follow these instructions:
- Scroll to the bottom of the form and click the “Save” button
- Create an account with your email address – be sure to remember your password as you will need it when you are ready to complete the form.
- Immediately after you create an account, you will receive an email from Jotform with the subject line “Please verify your account.” Open it and click “Verify Your Email.”
- You will be taken to https://www.jotform.com/listings/, where you will be able to find your saved form under “My Drafts.”
- To share the form with someone else, scroll to the bottom of the form and select “Save,” then “Get shareable link.” They will need to have your login info in order to complete the form.
