Meet the First Unitarian Community Service Team on October 10 at 8 am (the second Saturday of the month) to assist in beautifying the shores of White Rock Lake. Join us anytime between the hour of 8 am to 10 am and stay as long as you like. Every little bit helps! At 10 am we’ll call it quits and head to Well Grounded Coffee for a hot/cold refreshment and a little conversation. Join us if you can!

Do you have a “Service is our Prayer” T-shirt? If you already have a shirt, please wear it. T-shirts will be available for a suggested donation of $20. (for more info email me at janahouston0821@gmail.com) Let’s get the word out and represent First Unitarian Dallas!

This month, please meet us at QR marker WRT 102 on the east side of the lake. We will clean from that spot going south to QR marker WRT 104.

Directions: Enter the park at East Lawther Lane off Garland Road, just south of the Arboretum. Follow it north and look for us at QR sign WRT 102. Our table will be set up there with grabbers, gloves, trash bags, bug spray, water and a snack. (There are parking areas to pull over as you come up E. Lawther. If you don’t see a place to park, keep going north to the parking lot on the right, just before Winfrey Point.)

This is an activity that is suitable for the whole family as well as your friends!Checking the weather for October 10, (ha! we will see…) looks like a high of 87, clear and sunny. So we will possibly go till 10 am this month.  It was looking great last month, thanks to the Sierra Club joining us.   We cleaned all the way to the end, WRT 104, so we might cut out early this month.  Many thanks last month to Collin, Parker, Martin and Xtine Burrough, Jack Manning, Richard Grayson, Ron Marusak, Melissa and Bill Martin, Steven Pogue, Lisa and Tim Gibson, Clay Houston, Michael Garrison, and Gina Hogue!
