It’s STILL the heat of summer, but always nice at the lake in the early morning! This month let’s go for one hour and get outa the heat quicker!

Meet the First Unitarian Community Service Team on August 8 at 8 am (the second Saturday of the month) to assist in beautifying the shores of White Rock Lake. Join us anytime between the hour of 8 am to 9 am and stay as long as you like. Every little bit helps! At 9am we’ll call it quits and head to Well Grounded Coffee for a cold refreshment and a little conversation. Join us if you can!

Do you have a “Service is our Prayer” T-shirt? If you already have a shirt, please wear it. T-shirts will be available for a suggested donation of $20. (email Jana Houston) Let’s get the word out and represent First Unitarian Dallas!

This month, please meet us at QR marker WRT 102 on the east side of the lake. We will clean from that spot going south to QR marker WRT 104.

Directions: Enter the park at East Lawther Lane off Garland Road, just south of the Arboretum. Follow it north and look for us at QR sign WRT 102. Our table will be set up there with grabbers, gloves, trash bags, bug spray, water and a snack. (There are parking areas to pull over as you come up E. Lawther. If you don’t see a place to park, keep going north to the parking lot on the right, just before Winfrey Point.)

This is an activity that is suitable for the whole family as well as your friends!
