UU Learning Community – Factfulness, starting October 18

Sundays, starting October 18, 9:30 – 10:30 am, Hallman 305 (in-person only)

On Sunday, October 18 UULC will begin discussion of “Factfulness:Ten Reasons Why We’re Wrong About the World – and Why Things Are Better Than You Think” by Hans Rosling led by Cynthia Rutherford. We will look at his Chapters 1 & 2 on The Gap Instinct and The Negativity Instinct, both of which skew how we interpret the world. The question to ponder before you come to this class is “Has your view of the world become more pessimistic or more optimistic over the course of your lifetime, and how much of any change is based on evidence, rather than experience or the news?”
