Welcome Karen Stanton! New Director of Pastoral Care

First Unitarian Church of Dallas is overjoyed to announce that its next Director of Pastoral Care is Karen Stanton. Karen has been a public educator for more than three decades and for the last eight years has led the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for all of Plano ISD, caring for more than 2,000 families during her tenure. She is a long-standing member of First Unitarian and, with her husband Mike, raised two amazing children in the church. Her commitment to the church and Unitarian Universalism over these years shows in her service as a Quill Team member, religious educator, and Capital Campaign Committee member.

Karen will be visible in this role through the spring and will be on staff in her full capacity beginning on June 15. Karen will be working alongside Jean Ann Powers, now Director of Senior Programs, and your ministers to ensure that all pastoral needs are met as the church continues to grow and expand its pastoral ministry to this growing and thriving community of care.
