Spring Equinox Potluck and Community Ritual – Saturday, March 21

Join us as we celebrate the Spring Equinox, a time of balance and renewal when day and night stand equal, and the earth awakens with vibrant life. 

As the warmth returns and new life emerges, we’ll nurture the strength and vitality of our community, and honor the ways we can support each other’s growth. Each voice, each presence, each offering adds to the richness of what we are becoming side by side.

This event is open to individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs who wish to gather in reverence for nature and community. All ages are welcome—bring the whole family!

What to expect:

💚 A seasonal craft
🍽️ A potluck meal
🌈 A community ritual of movement, music, and seed planting, as well as a short play telling the story of Ostara and the Hare.

What to wear:

💐 Think Spring! Bright colors! Natural adornments to call in the energy of the season are always encouraged.

What to bring:

🍴 A dish, beverage, or dessert for the potluck
🧺 A blanket to sit on for dinner – there will be table seating in the Courtyard for those that prefer not to sit on the ground, but we encourage everyone who can to bring a blanket to sit on. Connect with the earth and enjoy a picnic-like meal!
🌿 Seasonal, natural items for the community altar: Fresh spring flowers, seeds, seedlings, bowl of soil, eggs, nest, feathers, green leaves, fresh herbs, candle, bowl of water, stones, symbols of local wildlife, written intentions. (You will take your items with you at the end of the night.)

How to help:

Signing up for a volunteer role at our gatherings is an opportunity to reconnect with the ancient traditions of community and village life, where collective effort and mutual support were integral to the well-being of all. By taking on a volunteer role with our group, you help nurture a thriving, sustainable community that aligns with the values of respect, stewardship, and unity.

Each event requires group leaders to pre-purchase a modest amount of supplies. We ask for your contributions to cover these expenses. If you are able to give, the suggested contribution is $5-10 per gathering. Contributions are not required, but much appreciated. Click here to contribute.

Another option is to purchase supplies directly from our Amazon wish list. These will be delivered to Sharon Nissen’s house so we can use them for our crafting days.
