Imbolc Potluck and Community Ritual

Imbolc is a festival of quiet beginnings, marking the time when winter loosens its grip and the first stirrings of new life return. Traditionally associated with the birth of lambs and the emergence of snowdrop flowers in Ireland, Imbolc reminds us that renewal often arrives softly, long before it is fully visible. It is also a time to honor Brigid, goddess and saint of the hearth, the well, healing, poetry, and protection of new beginnings.

In this gathering of music, movement, and shared ritual, we will tend the inner sparks we discovered in the quiet of winter and offer them care and encouragement.

This event is open to individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs who wish to come together in reverence for nature and community. All ages welcome and wanted – bring the whole family!

What to expect: 

🍴 Time for fellowship during the potluck meal

💚 Learn to make a traditional Brigid’s cross as you arrive

🎶 Special Irish music from Michael and Hank Blair

🔥 An interactive, all-ages community ceremony of music, movement, ritual, and reflection

What to wear:
🍀 Dress in the symbolic colors of Brigid if you can! – green, red, and white. As always, we encourage you to adorn yourself in nature – try making a crown, headpiece, or corsage with items found in nature. Creative expression is encouraged here.

What to bring:

🍴 A dish for the potluck – traditional Irish dishes and dishes with seasonal vegetables encouraged.
🌿 Seasonal, natural items for the community altar (you will take your items with you at the end of the event) – ideas for Imbolc include early spring flowers and herbs. bread, honey, and milk offerings, lambs, feathers, and seeds.

This is a pay-what-you-can event. Contributions are voluntary, deeply appreciated, and help cover the cost of supplies.
