The final 2025 UULC session is next Sunday, December 14, when we have a facilitated discussion of “Digital Minimalism” discussing the work of author and Georgetown Computer Science Professor, Cal Newport. Newport coined the term “Digital Minimalism” to convey mindful use of digital devices and social media, something we need to strive for and model.
Before the session please watch the two short YouTube videos, Digital Minimalism with Cal Newport and Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport – a Visual Summary. They will not be shown again at the session. He also has an older TEDTalk you may also find interesting, Quit Social Media. Please bring ideas about how you are using technology in a conscious way, to share with the group.
