Support Truth Pregnancy Resource Center – Supplies Needed for Self-Care Bags

Last week, several First Church members gathered at the Truth Pregnancy Resource Center (TPRC) to assemble self-care bags. While some were completed, over 100 remain unfinished due to a shortage of supplies.

These bags are sent to New Mexico and given to women from Dallas who travel to Albuquerque for abortion care. Each contains essential items for managing a medical abortion. The bags are a vital part of First Church’s support for Reproductive Justice and the work of the TPRC. According to TPRC counselor Aydrelle Collins, up to 100 bags are used every two weeks.

There is an immediate need for hot and cold pads and honey sticks to complete the unfinished bags. Once those are filled, more bags and additional supplies will be needed.

Supporters are encouraged to help by purchasing items from the TPRC’s Amazon wish list and having them shipped directly to the center. For those avoiding Amazon, donations can be dropped off at the TPRC—just be sure they match the items listed.
