Sundae Sunday – May 26th

This Sunday, May 26 there will be no Sunday School or YRUU as we transition to our summer programs. Instead, children are invited to attend the 11am Worship with their families and then, after the Story for All Ages, they will be sung outside to play, craft, and enjoy Ice Cream Sundaes! Teens will be helping scoop and serve as we celebrate the end of the school year and beginning of summer. Nursery Care (0-3) will be available for both services.

Did you know Ice Cream Sundaes were invented by a Unitarian? While there is some (mostly playful) disagreement on the precise origins, the strongest evidence points to Sundaes making their debut in attendance of two Unitarians at the Platt & Colt Pharmacy in Ithaca, New York in 1892! It was a hit and became the beloved treat we still enjoy today. Just one more reason to be proud you are a Unitarian!
