WISE and First Church partner for Menstrual Equity Collection

Thank you to all who contributed to the Menstrual Equity collection coordinated by our community sex ed outreach, WISE!

In conjunction with the SWUUW conference held at First Unitarian the weekend of March 3-5, we collected hundreds of boxes of menstrual supplies. Attendees at the workshop entitled “Equity. Period.” listened to a presentation by Reverend Beth Dana and WISE Executive Director Sherri Cook on the state of menstrual equity in Texas and elsewhere, then viewed the 2018 short documentary, “Period. End of Sentence.” To wrap up the workshop, participants gathered together to package products for distribution at local schools in need. We appreciate your support!
