Week 7: Expecting Adam
You may be wondering about the image above. “Batteries?! What do they have to do with spiritual parenting?” Well, in this week’s story they symbolize the light and magic of children, whoever they are and whatever their abilities.
Let’s light our chalices together, breathe, listen to a story, and reflect. This one may be challenging to listen to at times, so take breaks if you need to and reach out if you want to talk/process!

- What did you find most powerful in this story? It could be something you relate to, or something that challenged you.
- Have you ever experienced grief as a parent about the loss of what was expected and hoped for? What helped you navigate through this grief?
- How have you had to transform yourself as a parent to accept and love your child(ren) in the fullest way possible?
- What magic do you see in your child(ren)? Finding and acknowledging this magic can be a daily spiritual practice, even/especially when parenting gets hard.
