Small Group Discussion on Race
4 consecutive Wednesday evenings (March 29, April 5, 12, and 19)
6:30 – 8:30 PM on zoom
This group will meet for a series of 4 small group discussions to contemplate and discuss the impact of white supremacy on our culture, and the collective and individual roles we play in white supremacy culture. We will also explore and discuss examples of systemic racism and what we can do as individuals to help combat it. This group will meet for 4 consecutive Wednesday evenings (March 29, April 5, 12, and 19) 6:30 – 8:30 PM on zoom.
The group will be co-facilitated by RETF members Pamela Ice and Fred Ditmars.
Viewing and Discussion of Ava DuVernay’s movie, “13th.”
Session One: Friday, March 24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Session Two: Saturday, March 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
On Zoom
RETF members Pamela Ice and Steve Jensen invite you to join them for a two-session viewing and discussion of Ava DuVernay’s groundbreaking documentary, “13th.” The movie explores the history of America’s criminal (in)justice system, focusing on its impact on Black Americans.
We will meet via Zoom on two occasions (March 24 and 25), for two hours each. In the first hour, we will watch a portion of the movie together. Then we will discuss what we just watched in the second hour.
