Recovering the Stories: Racial History of Dallas – January 5th

Join Steve Jensen (chair, Racial Equity Task Force) and Sherri Cook (Executive Director, Wholly Informed Sex Ed (WISE)) to discuss the series of six short documentary films (10-15 minutes each), “Recovering the Stories,” about the experiences of people of color throughout Dallas’ history.  From Fair Park to Little Mexico and neighborhoods in between, this video series is a closer look at how subjects like police brutality and gentrification have disproportionately affected BIPOC communities in Dallas. 

Important Note: Participants must view the films on the PBS app or online (Recovering the Stories) PRIOR to meeting together to engage and discuss.
