Projected Playground Construction Timeline
We are excited to share that playground construction will begin this week! We expect construction to take 5-6 weeks, but the timeline is subject to change based on weather. If you have questions about how this will impact your classes or groups, please email Nohemi Reynoso, our events coordinator.
With parking being impacted in the back parking lot and on St. Andrews, we encourage those who can to park in the YMCA parking garage on Sundays to keep parking available for our congregants with limited mobility.
Impact to Parking: The last 2 spaces on both sides of the parking lot will be blocked off for equipment and materials, as will 3-4 spaces closest to Preston on St. Andrews.
Week 1 (April 1 to 5): Begin demolition work on Preston playground, then central playground later in the week
Week 2 (April 8 to 12): Site work and equipment installation begins
Week 3 (April 15 to 19): Equipment installation continues, plant tree on Preston playground
Week 4 (April 22 to 26): Install fences (wooden fence around utilities, iron fence along parking lot side) and repair Preston playground fence; wrap up other pieces of installation; courtyard/patio/playground furniture delivered
Week 5 (April 29 to May 3) or Week 6 (May 6 to 10): Install patio to the east of Channing and signage/plaques
Sunday, May 19th after church: Party Time! Dedication and Celebration of Building a New Way…to Play!
