Potluck & Program with Amy Martin hosted by Earth Centered Spirituality – August 30th
Friday, August 30th
5:30 – 7:30pm, Foyer and Channing Social Hall
With August being a transitional month in the Wheel of the Year, we are taking the opportunity to learn from writer, educator, and naturalist Amy Martin about 2 powerful (and often overlooked) earth energies – gravity and magnetism. Amy will combine science with spirituality to guide us in tuning into these energies, helping us feel centered and grounded, wherever we are.
Here’s what to expect from this gathering:
🍴 Our potluck will take place inside in the Foyer.
🌎 Amy Martin’s talk will take place in Channing Social Hall.
🧲 Community Altar – We will create a community altar to represent grounding and orientation. Please bring items such as magnets, stones like granite and hematite, compasses, maps, or globes. You will take your item with you at the end of the gathering.
🍚 Food Drive for Mission Oak Cliff – We are continuing our food drive from last month by collecting donations of peanut butter, tuna fish, and rice for Mission Oak Cliff, a food pantry that is in serious need right now.
This monthly event is open to individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs who wish to come together in reverence for nature and community.
Please RSVP and sign up for potluck items if you can.
