Children's Ministries Coordinator
Shelley Ruprecht, our Children’s Ministries Coordinator, has been a friend and congregant at First Unitarian for 10 years. Shelley supports our church’s ministry with children in the Nursery through 9th grade through coordinating the Sunday School program, the Our Whole Lives (OWL) programs, our legendary sumfun! Camp and creating a loving community for children that reinforces our values of “open minds, loving hearts, and helping hands.”
Shelley and her husband Tom live in East Dallas and have raised their 3 girls, Eloen, Dascha and Annika, in our First Unitarian Children’s RE and YRUU faith programs.
Prior to joining the staff in her current role, she supported Montessori programs in Dallas bringing organizational and technical support to leadership, classrooms, and progressive parent programs. Shelley was a previous member and board member of UU Community of the Mountains, a congregation in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California.
Some of Shelley’s joys include cooking with her husband, philosophical discussions with friends, live music and theater, and long, crazy road trips with her family.
