Family Faith Practices is a booklet for Unitarian Universalist families that offers guidance and resources to bridge the Sunday morning experience at church with their home life. With a few exceptions, the content is authored by the current and previous ministers of First Unitarian Church of Dallas, Texas.
The book is structured around the four key faith practices for families proposed by John Roberto of LifelongFaith Associates:
- caring conversations
- prayer and reflection
- rituals and traditions, and
- service
It offers suggestions and resources for engaging in meaningful, caring conversations as a family; words and guidance for prayer and reflection on different occasions; rituals to mark holidays and life milestones; and resources on how to engage in impactful service as Unitarian Universalists.
