First Unitarian Church of Dallas is proud to present the next offering in our Worth and Dignity Engagements (WADE) series on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 5:30 PM, featuring acclaimed blues musician Zac Harmon.

The evening promises a soul-stirring blend of music and narrative. Harmon will perform selections from his extensive catalog and share stories rooted in his Mississippi upbringing and lifelong immersion in the blues.

Zac Harmon is a Grammy-nominated, award-winning guitarist, singer, and songwriter, hailed as one of the foremost contemporary torchbearers of the blues tradition. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, home to legends like Elmore James, Harmon’s roots run deep.

Blues Revue called Harmon “a masterful musician and performer of the blues.”  Blues journalist Don Wilcock referred to his “Bobby Blue Bland uptown sophistication with a touch of Freddie King guitar.” 

And JazzReview said, “With his big blues sound from Mississippi, Harmon can go toe to toe with some of the best blues men in the business. Please don’t be shy, go ahead and mention Harmon’s name in the same sentence with Bobby “Blue” Bland, Albert King and Bobby Rush—just to name a few.”

Zac Harmon tours both nationally and internationally as an ambassador of this great American music art form called the Blues. His live shows are a non-stop low down throwdown as he brings audiences to their feet with his irresistible passion and enthusiasm.

This WADE evening offers a unique chance to connect with the living legacy of blues music and to reflect on how music tells stories of dignity, struggle, and resilience.
