Clothes Encounters – bring items throughout January, shop February 2-4

Please save treasures from your closet for Clothes Encounters!

Now is the season to give and receive!  As you’re going through your closet in the coming weeks, and pulling out clothes you’re no longer wearing, and wanting to donate them to a worthy cause where they’ll do some good, please consider saving the very nicest ones for Clothes Encounters…from our closets to yours!  

We’re looking for some wonderful women’s clothing, jewelry, purses, and scarves, in excellent condition — any size, any style, any season, anything except shoes.  

Bring them to church on these Sundays: January 14th, 21st, and 28th.  It will feel so good to clear some space in our closets, benefit others, and then come to Channing and find some new things to enjoy at Clothes Encounters!  

Shopping dates:  February 2nd (4-8 pm), February 3rd (11-3 pm), and February 4th (9-2 pm).  Think “pop-up boutique,” not “church rummage sale.”  Nothing will be priced; the concept is to “make a generous donation and take home a treasure.”

Now celebrating ten years, Clothes Encounters is the spring fundraiser for the Women’s Day and Evening Alliances.  The Alliances will give all the proceeds to the community organizations and church programs members choose this spring, and we’ll donate all clothing not chosen during Clothes Encounters to benefit Family Gateway.
