Bob Casey: A Virtual Path to Inner Peace

Bob Casey, an online member of the First Unitarian Church of Dallas, has been participating through livestream services since January 2025, following nearly two years of exploring Unitarian Universalism online. After a long spiritual journey that began in childhood, including many years in a fundamentalist tradition he eventually left behind, Bob found the church through online sermons by the ministers and felt immediately drawn in.

Despite living over a thousand miles away in Utah, he feels a deep sense of connection and community through the church’s robust online offerings, including virtual meetings and opportunities for discussion. Bob describes experiencing profound inner peace through weekly sermons, shared conversations, and the welcoming spirit of the community, and he believes online churches like First Unitarian Dallas represent the future of faith communities.
