Race: The Power of An Illusion – Documentary Screening & Discussion
Over each of three Zoom sessions, we will watch together one episode of the documentary series by that name, and talk about it. The series will challenge what you think you know about what we call “race.” We highly encourage everyone to join us, regardless of whether you have previously participated in one of our small group discussions. We believe you will find both the series and the discussion enlightening, informative, and ultimately hopeful. By reframing our understanding of race, we can take a major step toward breaking down the false narratives that uphold institutional, cultural and individual racism. The discussion series will be held via Zoom on three consecutive days:
Session 1: Friday, Nov. 1 (6:30-8:30 p.m.)
Session 2: Saturday, Nov. 2 (2:00-4:00 p.m.)
Session 3: Sunday, Nov. 3 (2:00-4:00p.m.)
