As we come face-to-face with Inauguration Day, Rev. T. J. Fitzgerald challenges us to confront the uncertainty and fears of our time with the unshakable love and commitment exemplified by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This sermon reminds us of the systems that perpetuate inequity, the struggles facing our community today—from reproductive justice to racial inequality to mental health—and the ways we are called to act.
At the First Unitarian Church of Dallas, we stand committed to loving and supporting everyone, especially those whose lives feel under attack. We are here to hold each other, strategize for change, and care for ourselves and one another as we do the hard work of justice.
Join us as we explore what it means to carry forward the dream of Dr. King in a divided world and to envision a future where peace, love, and justice prevail.
