The Nominating Committee invites you to be a part of our future as we begin to identify leaders to serve in 2009. Our leaders need to reflect our diverse and growing congregation, and we want each of you to consider your church role. Committed leadership is critical in planning for our successful transition within our beloved church home. In January 2009 we will install Daniel Kanter as our Senior Minister and in June 2009 many of us will participate in the election for the UUA President with Laurel Hallman on the ballot. Chart and Compass is a multi-year offering and 2009 will be a year of significant change for First Unitarian. The goal of the Nominating Committee is to identify quality leaders and connect their skills with the essential and exciting jobs to be performed.
We welcome your participation in this process! To nominate someone else or yourself, beginning August 3, forms will be available in the Church office, from a member of the Nominating Committee, or you can download one here. (Before nominating someone else, we recommend you ask if they are able to serve.) This year, we will elect leaders for the following positions for calendar year 2009:

On Sunday, August 3 before and after services, you will have a special opportunity to talk to members of the Nominating Committee about your interest in serving our Church as a leader or recommending someone to serve our Church as a leader. Completed forms recommending someone for a leadership position may be submitted to the Church office or given to any member of the Nominating Committee by August 18.
