Update January 13, 2009
We have finished our phone interviews and have narrowed the field down to a small group of excellent pre-candidates. Over the next few weeks we will meet with each of them and hear them preach. By March 25th we will submit our final recommendation to the board for approval. Once approved, the final candidate will be presented to the congregation in April. After a full week of candidating, the congregation will vote in early May. We're getting closer!
Update November 18, 2008
We are now receiving applications from ministers who are interested in being our new Second Minister. We anticipate we will exchange the packets in early December and telephone interviews with the individual applicants will take place soon thereafter.

Update July 13, 2008
Our committee has been meeting weekly since we were charged with the exciting and challenging task of finding a second minister for our church. We have established a private committee website and email list, have set our operational rules, elected officers, and are creating our subcommittees. We have already met with church and UUA staff and with the members of the prior Senior Minister Search Committee. We are now focusing on the best ways to communicate with all of you. In a couple of weeks, you will be receiving a new survey asking for your input and ideas for this new position.
On the last two Sundays in July, the 20th and the 27th, we will be available for questions and comments in Channing Hall between services and after the second service. Your input is crucial for the success of the church! You are also welcome to contact us individually.
Our Co-chairs are Judy Hembree and John Daniel, Secretary Julie Doucet, UUA liaison Kathy Calhoun, Communications coordinator, Peter Poulides, and members Patty Lane, Lee Latham, Kevin McClendon and Michael Scholten. We look forward
to hearing from you!
