This 55-member, all-volunteer choir provides musical leadership for Sunday morning worship (approximately twice a month), high holiday services, and performs one major concert with orchestra yearly. Past performances have included Requiems by Mozart, Faure and Durufle, Bach Cantata #131, Dona Nobis Pacem by Vaughan Willams, and Chichester Psalms by Bernstein. The repertoire performed by this choir emphasizes classics as well as choral arrangements of folk songs, spirituals.
The Sanctuary Choir is open to all people 16 years and older who have had some choral experience and are able to commit to weekly Wednesday evening rehearsals from mid-August through May. New members are accepted during the months of August, September and January, as space allows. Kindred Voices
Kindred Voices is a choir open to adults and youth (4th grade and up) and is geared toward those who have had little or no singing experience, or those who simply want to enjoy singing in a choir without the performance responsibilities of the Sanctuary Choir. A variety of rounds, two-part and mixed music is sung in a fun-loving, accepting atmosphere. Kindred voices sings in church approximately one Sunday per month.
