Dr. Daniel Chesney Kanter received a B. A. in psychology and anthropology from the University of Vermont in 1989, a Master of Divinity from Starr King School for the Ministry in 1998, and a Doctor of Ministry from Perkins School of Theology/SMU. He served on the Board of Trustees at Starr King for nine years, from 2001, the same year he came to serve The First Unitarian Church of Dallas. He was called to serve as Minister in 2003 and as Senior Minister in 2009. He lives in the Lakewood neighborhood of Dallas, has two children and a yellow Labrador. He and his wife Marianne enjoy travel, theatre, art, athletic endeavors, and friends.
