I could not forgo the opportunity to hear this famous scientist. There was little about the peril to the earth, and much about her symbiosis and gene transfer theories as the driving source of evolutionary variation. Most memorable was her closing line, to the effect that biologists had concluded that only three things were common to all earthly life: the drives for food, survival, and genital friction.
